Sunny held an Investor Day on June 18, focusing on smartphone industry updates, automotive products development and AI development outlook. The Company revised up its 2024 global smartphone shipment forecast to 1.169bn units, up 3.5% YoY; which was an increase of 1.7% as compared to the company’s original forecast at the beginning of 2024. The Company also expected China smartphone sales to edge up 0.4% YoY in 2024 to 276m units, compared with the forecast growth of 1.1% YoY at the beginning of 2024. Foldable phone shipment underpinned the stronger global smartphone momentum, which is expected to surge 38.8% YoY in 2024. Global HLS shipment has bottomed in 2023 and is expected to enjoy accelerated growth of 1.2%/3.3% YoY in 2024/25.
